Shortening for rolling out

Prepare the cake mix following the instructions on the box. Add 1 teaspoon per box of mix.

Coat two 9" x 13" pans with cooking spray, avoiding the sides to help the batter rise evenly. Place parchment paper on the bottom of the pans and apply more cooking spray on top. Evenly distribute the batter between the two pans. Tap the pans firmly on a flat surface to eliminate air bubbles and level the batter. Bake following the package instructions. Cool at room temperature.

While the cake is cooling, prepare a simple syrup by mixing 2 tablespoons of water with sugar in a small bowl and microwaving until it boils. In my microwave, this process took 30 seconds. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Add 1/4 cup of vanilla vodka and let it cool completely.

Stir the jam vigorously until it becomes smooth, then add 2 tablespoons of vanilla vodka. Set it aside.

Take the cakes out of the pan. Select one cake and trim it to your desired shape using a template made from parchment paper. Slice the cake horizontally to create two layers. Use a cooking brush or tablespoon to moisten the bottom layer with half of the simple syrup. Apply approximately a 3/8" layer of Ermine frosting. Spread the jam mixture over the frosting, leaving a 1/2" border. Finally, place the top cake layer over the jam. Refrigerate the cake for approximately 30 minutes or freeze it for 20 minutes. This firms it up and makes it easier work with.

Use a knife to smooth the edges. Then, spread a thin layer of Ermine frosting over the entire cake as the first crumb coat. Utilize a second cake to form the man's abs and other muscles. Crumble a portion of the cake and mix it with some American buttercream to aid in contouring the body. I dedicated a significant amount of time to studying male anatomy to ensure accuracy. It was quite a challenging task. Teehee.

Apply a thin layer of American buttercream over the cake and chill it until firm. Next, add the final layer of buttercream and chill once more. In my experience, when creating shaped cakes, chilling after each step makes the process easier.

Roll out the skin-toned fondant and drape it over the cake. Carefully smooth it over all the contours and details. Apply cocoa powder around the muscles to create depth. If you wish, use the extra cake to form the male parts, or you can use twinkies. Position them accordingly. Roll out more fondant that was colored for the speedo. Use a pizza cutter to shape it into a speedo shape and place it on the cake. Once more, smooth it down to accentuate the features. Now it's time for a cold shower. Enjoy!

Ermine Frosting

In a small saucepan, mix milk and flour. Heat over medium-low while stirring continuously until it thickens to a paste-like consistency. Pour into a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Place plastic wrap directly on the surface to prevent a skin from forming.. Let it chill completely.

Beat the butter and sugar with a mixer for 7 to 8 minutes. Gradually add the cooled flour mixture, one tablespoon at a time. After it's fully combined, incorporate the remaining ingredients.

American Buttercream

In a mixing bowl, cream the butter. Slowly incorporate the powdered sugar and beat until the mixture is fluffy. Mix in the remaining ingredients.

Fondant

Melt the marshmallows and water together, either on the stovetop or in the microwave. Stir in the sifted powdered sugar. Transfer the mixture onto a surface greased with shortening and knead until everything is well combined. For the speedos, take a quarter of the batch and add the desired gel color, kneading until the color is fully incorporated. Use the remaining fondant for the skin, coloring it to the desired skin tone.
